Q. What is Holistic Health Coaching?

A. My approach to Holistic Health and Wellness as a Health Coach in Hoboken, New Jersey has a strong emphasis on bringing your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health back into balance.  Nutrition is only one aspect of total wellness.

My approach to the other major areas of your life is the same as my approach to food. I gently, yet effectively, work with you to get to the root of the issue. Together, we create realistic solutions that you are comfortable using in your everyday life.


Q. How is your approach different from a traditional Dietitian or nutritionist?

A. Traditional Nutritionists and Dietitians focus promoting health through food, however, their personalized approach is mostly in the form of calorie/fat restriction and their views tend to be very mainstream.  As a Health Coach from the New Jersey and NYC area, my approach is not only nutritionally personalized, but, I tailor my program to promote nourishment in all areas of your life.

I also understand that people (especially those from the Tri-State area) are extremely busy with hectic schedules.  As a health coach,  I can easily work with you to meet the needs of your busy schedule.


Q. Are you able to address certain conditions, or is this a general wellness program?

A. Actually, I assist with both situations.  I have patients that have specific syndromes and conditions as well as those that want a more general preventive approach to health.  My program is customized so that I can help you manage any condition(s) or help keep you generally healthy.

As your health coach, I can help you cope with many common illnesses and conditions.  I can help you develop a prevention wellness program and keep your immune system running balanced and strong.


Q. Do you restrict certain foods?  Will you introduce me to weird foods?

A. No.  I may be a health coach, but I’m not into torture. My approach is not to give you the Do’s and Don’ts of food.  That is one of the worst ways to motivate someone.  After all, when you tell someone not to do something, their natural instinct is to do it!

Introducing healthier foods in order to crowd out less healthy foods is a great and more gradual way to help people become healthier and happier.  Also, please keep in mind that we are all “bio-individuals”, meaning that our bodies respond differently to different things.  Just because something is labeled as “healthy”, doesn’t mean that it will agree with your unique makeup.

Yes,  I will introduce you to new and exciting foods.  I can’t promise that you won’t think some of it is weird.  I can guarantee that I won’t force you to eat anything that you don’t want to eat.  I work with you to develop a lifelong way of eating that you can stick with for life.  All the food you consume will be food that is not only healthy, but it will be food that you enjoy.


Q. How exactly does your program address certain issues?

A. My Approach to health is to Heal the Body, Not the Symptoms.  As your health coach, I aim to identify the root of the problem in order to eliminate / reduce the symptoms.  For example, if you suffered from constant headaches, wouldn’t you want to address and eliminate the reason for the headaches instead of constantly taking pills to suppress the pain?

I may recommend natural supplements or dietary changes, but I’ll never give you any form of direction that will simply mask symptoms to make you “feel better”.  As your health coach, your overall wellness is my primary concern and I’ll bring you to a place where you don’t just “feel better” you live better.


Q. What will I gain from your program?

A. Aside from exposure to new exciting foods and a new perspective on your health and life in general, you will get what you put into the program.  I can only guarantee that you will see an improvement if you dedicate yourself to the program and stay consistent. Most of my clients make health their top priority and take the program very seriously; they’ve had wonderful results and they continue to incorporate principles of my health coaching into their everyday lives long after their program ends.


Q. You’re a Health Coach in Hoboken, New Jersey.  What other areas do you cover?

A.  I provide my personal, on-site health coach and nutritional coaching services to residents in and around Hoboken, New Jersey , NYC, and surrounding areas.  My personal on site services will allow me to meet with clients at their homes or in my offices to begin the healing process.


Q. You’re a Health Coach in Hoboken, New Jersey.  Do you provide national or global services?

A.  While my on-site and personal health coach and nutritional coaching services are provided to local residents around New Jersey and NYC,  I also provide coaching services on a national and global level.  I am able to provide assessment, coaching, counseling and other consulting services through chat, email, phone or skype for all individuals outside of my direct and personal on-site coverage area.


Q. What makes you unique from any other Health Coach in NYC or Hoboken,  New Jersey?

A I’m not trying to “overbook” my client schedule; my philosophy is quality of care before quantity of clients.  Likewise,  I work with my clients to create their own levels of success  at their pace, not the pace that I feel that should be at.  New Jersey and NYC residents, in particular, live fast-paced and busy lives – As their health coach, I tailor my program to the their unique lifestyles.
